Let's Pray Together for 30 Days in September!
Do you need a little encouragement?
Are you tired of the pandemic and political conflict?
It may feel strange to say we are going to focus on gratitude, but Paul's words from prison can be a real encouragement during these uncertain times!

CDM is inviting churches and their congregations to join together again in prayer for 30 Days of Gratitude, based upon the book of Philippians.

Each day, you will meet a pastor, a missionary, a campus pastor or a church planter, who will share about how God is moving in their communities. There is so much to be grateful for, even in these uncertain times. 

Paul wrote this letter of joy and gratitude to the church in Philippi as he suffered in a prison in Rome. Today, we have much to learn from this epistle as we strive to set our hearts and minds on Christ, who is our eternal home, and seek His will. As we are unified in prayer across the PCA, we hope that we will each find encouragement in these stories of God’s faithfulness.

Dear Ladies of Palmetto Presbytery,

I do pray that you are being fully sustained by our great God in these still uncertain times.  In the words of Jeremiah, “Ah, Lord God!  It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm!  Nothing is too hard for you.” (Jeremiah 32:17).  The coronavirus is no surprise to our God and only reminds us that, “My times are in your hands…” (Psalm 31:15).

Sadly, after much prayer, we have had to cancel the 2020 Palmetto & Pee Dee Presbyteries' Fall Retreat scheduled for November 6-8.  This was not done lightly as this is a highlight event of the year for many of us in both presbyteries.  It has normally been a great time of teaching, worshipping and fellowship but with the skyrocketing coronavirus infection rate in SC and no way to know what conditions will be like in November, the most prudent course was to cancel now.   We are already praying about and planning for a 2021 Fall Retreat in the hopes that conditions will then be more favorable for meeting and fellowshipping together.   The tentative date for that will be November 5-7, 2021.
